NetDocuments has been selected by Utah Business magazine as one of “Utah’s Best Companies to Work For” in 2021. Utah Business announced all winners online in its 11th annual recognition on Tuesday, December 14th and honored all 64 Utah winners at its award luncheon a day later on the 15th. This signifies another big workplace win for the entire NetDocuments team, having just won five various ‘best company’ awards this year alone.
As CEO, Josh Baxter, recently pointed out in a Silicon Slopes Live interview and feature article, NetDocuments wins together. This starts by building a winning culture, working for one another, and collaborating together to achieve big things … whether that’s surpassing the 3,400-cloud platform customer mark this year or reaching the Unicorn, $1Billion+ valuation status.
Rather than feeling like these accomplishments have gotten them to the summit, the NetDocuments team remains grounded and hungrier than ever to achieve more.
“The Best Company to Work For” award has been given to deserving companies in Utah every year since 2010. Companies compete for the recognition each year and “go through a rigorous examination of workplace elements such as benefits and pay, fairness and opportunities, corporate culture, internal communication and employee pride.”
The process also includes anonymous employee surveys from at least 50% of full-time employees. Companies who receive the award value individual talent and achievement, have low turnover, and receive high praise from its employees. NetDocuments delivered a whopping 82% employee survey response rate. In fact, employees’ engagement, and willingness to take time to provide valuable feedback and to engage in these type of employee surveys has become a hallmark and a point of differentiation among similar companies, not only within Utah but nationwide.
Claudia Reese, VP of Human Resources at NetDocuments, and the HR team she leads typically throw the ‘hat in the ring’ when it comes to regional and national employee-focused awards. “We have such an enthusiastic and engaged team of professionals across all functions and roles … it truly is awesome to see this pay off and have their voices be heard. We don’t take feedback and this level of engagement lightly. Many of our current employee programs and perks started with an employee suggestion or question.”
Utah Business hosted its 2021 "Best Companies to Work For" awards ceremony and luncheon at The Grand America Hotel on December 15. NetDocuments was one of only 18 medium-sized companies (101 - 500 employees) in Utah to be honored.
