Davis Wright Tremaine Awarded Innovative Law Firm of the Year by The International Legal Technology Association
November 18, 2020 – Last week, the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) named the leading Seattle-based firm, Davis Wright Tremaine, the Innovative Law Firm of the Year. The innovation award represents the firm’s commitment to delivering exceptional service to their clients by leveraging technology and process innovation across their nine offices and over 500 attorneys.
“Clients are telling us that they value the investment we’ve made in innovation and that we are giving them tools that they don’t already have,” said Jay Hull, DWT’s chief innovation partner. “That’s exactly our mission—deploying people, process improvement, and technology to make the lives of in-house counsel easier. We want to be a seamless partner in helping companies succeed, and we are thrilled to have these efforts recognized by the cutting-edge members of ILTA.”
Also announced at the ILTACON conference in Las Vegas was DWT’s decision to move their on-premises document and email management system to the cloud with NetDocuments.
“We were looking for a modern suite of tools from a company that had the track record and experience to continually innovate the management of documents and email, and collaborating with clients in a secure way,” Rob O’Rielly, CIO at DWT, commented. “Document management is a critical piece of our information governance strategy, and we just didn’t feel like our incumbent vendor was keeping up. Because NetDocuments is a subscription service updated several times per year, we’ll have the benefit of a proven cloud technology that will keep pace with the market, client, and personnel demands for a modern platform that delivers productivity, mobility, and security. Our clients come first, and our decisions on what technology to adopt are driven by the need to provide innovative tools that are secure and promote usability so our people can continue to provide exceptional service to our broad client-base.”
NetDocuments congratulates DWT for the innovation award, and is proud to include prestigious and innovative firms like DWT as part of the growing global customer community.
